IDream Prompt #1

IDream-
Of someday becoming a mother. I know at this point in our marriage my husband and I are not quite ready to have a baby but we are both very excited to become parents one day.

From a very young age my grandma informed me that she was a mother of 13 children. Since that day I decided 13 it is! I wanted to be just like her in every way. I thought that being able to have 13 babies was pretty amazing. Now that i'm a little older I still think it's amazing and that she is probably the best mother I will ever have the chance of knowing but I also realize that it's probably not a realistic dream anymore, but I won't let that stop me from wanting children.

The dictionary defines a mother as someone who has given birth to a child. Being a mother means so much more to me. It's hearing that heart beat for the first time, to waking up in the middle of the night to comfort them, hearing them say mommy and sooner or later helping them learn to walk.

The miracle of life is so incredible. I can't even grasp what truly takes place. I just know that the feeling of holding that little piece of Brandon and I is going to be the best thing we have ever done.

So here's to you my precious unborn dream; We can't wait to welcome you into our family someday. We can't wait to kiss your little nose and hold you in our arms. We promise to try and be the best parents that we can for you.

New Project for 2011

So my dear friend Kyla blogged about this and it really caught my eye, so I plan on doing this year long project with her. The project is called Love, Me. It's a weekly personal writing project. The people who created this project will give a new topic each week for us to write about. The first week being "dreams". Here is the prompt from their page...

Your dreams and hopes can tell us so much about who you are and what is important to you. This week we will focus on your current dream(s). It can be anything- big or small. I am so excited to start this project! It says to scrapbook it because in the future it will be a wonderful keepsake for your families. They also write another thing that really caught my eye.. Growing up you knew your parents as parents. Most of us didn't know what their dreams were. Maybe their biggest fears.. Hopes?? This will give your children or even future grandchildren the ability to know you.. REALLY know you..
I will be posting my writing weekly... If its not to personal that is.. At least something from each one. I think this is going to be GREAT for me to understand who I am and what I really want and put it down so I don't forget during lives trials and busy times!

The Lights

A few days ago we were able to take our neighbor Stephen to see the lights at Layton Park...We had so much fun. Stephen really liked the Dinosaurs and so did Brandon.. They both took off running when they saw the T-Rex! Silly boys..

Once in a lifetime...

Growing up my mom always told me...
I will someday find that person (friend) that knows you to the core.
Loves me no matter what and will laugh with you, cry with you, be there through thick and thin. And that most people usually only have one or two if their lucky.
I'm lucky because I have my husband and he has all those qualities too but....
today my post is about my best friend in the whole world. I don't know what I would do with out her. Living far away from her is so hard because it's not only lonely but has made our cellphone bills sky rocket! :) I thank my Heavenly Father every day for sending this angel into my life. I consider her my sister and would do anything for her as she would for me. It took me a while to find you but you are stuck with me forever now. Thank you for being such a huge blessing in my life Bridget.. Thank you for making me laugh, supporting me through everything and ALWAYS being there. Our friendship is a once in a lifetime kind of thing!:)

Lola & Unkie

So Lola LOVES her Unkie..

He forgets his wife is even around when he is with this cute little blonde!
She is pretty cute and she brightens up the room wherever she is. We love her SO much!

K-Fed & Britney

We celebrated Halloween a little early this year because my hubby actually had to work this year, So thanks to our good buddies Jesse and Melissa we had a fun filled night.. Brandon and I could not agree on anything this year as a costume so 30 minutes before the party he tells me fine lets be Britney & K-Fed.. it's a bit WT but got quite a few laughs..Enjoy:)

Brandon's clothes were ten sizes to big.. and I was carrying a doll by it's leg as we walked in the house.. I totally love Halloween is so fun!
